
Jennifer Howitt
graduated from BORP's youth program in 2000. She is a
Paralympian, and has represented the United States in
wheelchair basketball as well as track & field. Jennifer
is a junior at Georgetown University. |

John Pinter
a 1987 BORP product. John graduated from UC Berkeley and
went to work for Microsoft. He later founded his own high
tech consulting firm. John was the president of BORP's
board of directors when he passed away last spring at the
age of 32. |

Marcus Oden
was in a railroad accident when he was 8 years old. One
guess what nickname his teammates have tagged him with.
"Train" is one of the top junior wheelchair basketball
players in the country and has represented the USA at the
junior level. |

Antonia Gutierrez
is one of the bright spirits at BORP. The 16 year old is
pictured here with her own brand new hand cycle, courtesy
of Clif Bar, Inc. She is determined to ride 50 miles this
October 4- "not that wimpy 25." |

Miguel Otero
came to BORP through our Oakland outreach program. He has
a tremendous work ethic and is feisty as all get-out. His
coach, Tim Orr, believes that combination will carry 7
year old Miguel a long way. |

Jessica Lucas
is a fighter-one of the strongest willed kids this program
has ever seen. She's a coming star in basketball, and this
year started track & field, and hand cycling as well. When
she grows up, Jessica wants to be a baby-sitter, a writer,
and an architect. |
