Core Conditioning

Core conditioning is the act of strengthening the muscles of the abdominals and torso. The core holds the body in alignment and allows the extremities to move in a more efficient and effective manner. Core conditioning goes far beyond crunches and instead engages the muscles of the abs, both in the front and along the sides of the body, as well as the muscles around the shoulders, pelvis, and along the spinal column. Using an integrated approach including pilates, calisthenics, and stretch, the overall aim is to improve flexibility and strength to create a balance in the body for optimal range of motion and overall wellness.
