Hot Stone Yoga

Instructor Pnina Shamsi

This restorative yoga class focuses on relaxing the body in deeply nourishing and restful postures.  After some gentle warm-up movements, this class uses meditative poses in which the body is supported with props and held in restful postures for extended periods of time. Both soothing and regenerating, the poses help balance the body, mind, and nervous system, bringing the body's response system back into equilibrium.  Hot or warm stones are then placed on specific parts of the body to deepen the relaxation process.

This class is open to anyone who wants to feel relaxed, refreshed, and restored.  Hot stones are optional and are not necessary for the restorative process.

About Pnina: Pnina Shamsi, MA, is a certified Kripalu yoga teacher, Reiki practitioner, sound healing therapist, and lifelong musician. She has been practicing Kripalu yoga since 2000 and teaching publicly and privately since 2008. Pnina honors each student's safety, individuality, and specific needs.
