BORP Poker Slam on February 5 !
On February 5, 2011 BORP Power Soccer will host the Eighth Annual BORP Poker Slam.
The BORP Poker Slam is a No-Limit Texas Hold'Em poker tournament similar to the ones you see on television.
Participants donate $100 and receive dinner, entry to the poker tournament to compete for donated prizes, and a chance to win in the raffle and silent auction.
Proceeds from the BORP Poker Slam go to support the travel and equipment needs of BORP's Power Soccer program.
BORP's goal at this event is to raise the funds to make sure all our players will be able to fully participate in all travel and competitions in the 2011 season, including the national tournaments in June. Estimated expenses for a player to go to nationals are $2,500.00 (including air fare, lodging, events fees, ground transport, meals and attendant salary).
