BORP's Revolution -
A Cycling Fundraiser Benefiting Athletes with Disabilities

Saturday September 26th, 2009

Trentadue Winery - Sonoma County, CA

The Revolution (Ride, Festival, & Auction) brings together hundreds of people to raise funds for BORP and promote disability awareness.  With routes ranging from 10-100 miles, weekend warriors and serious cyclists join disabled and visually impaired riders on a fully-supported ride in the stunning landscapes and spectacular vineyards of Sonoma County.  Following the ride, riders, supporters, volunteers, and friends celebrate the day’s success at a Food & Music Festival at Geyserville’s Trentadue Winery - where you will enjoy gourmet food, fine wine, massages, live music, and a great silent auction.

The Ride

The Revolution Ride takes place in the some of the most beautiful cycling landscapes in the world - Sonoma County.  There are fully-supported rides of 100, 65 (100K), 50, 25, and 10 miles.  The Revolution Ride is a fundraising event which raises funds to support people with physical disabilities and their involvement in sports, fitness and recreation programs.  All riders raise at least $350 to support a truly great cause.  Learn more about the rides, about fundraising, and how you can ride in this year's Revolution!  Space is limited so register to ride now.  Don't miss this amazing day!

The Festival

The Revolution Festival takes place at Trentadue Winery in Geyserville, starting at 1pm.  The Festival has gourmet food, fine wine, live music, a silent auction, massages, and a great program!  The program begins at 5pm and will last approximately 30-45 minutes.  The Festival is a way to join in the celebration of the day's success and another way to help support people with physical disabilities.  All festival attendees (who are not registered as riders or volunteers) must register in advance.  Festival registration is only $75 and space is limitedRegister for the festival now!

Volunteer Opportunities

The Revolution couldn't happen without the help of our amazing volunteers.  While volunteers work hard for at least four hours, they are handsomely rewarded with the knowledge they have helped to support the success and overall mission of the Revolution.  Oh, and the Revolution T-Shirts and free Festival admission sure don't hurt ;-)  While we are extremely grateful for the assistance of our volunteers, there are real costs associated with having an individual at an event such as the Revolution.  This year we are asking our volunteers to help us offset a small portion of this cost with a volunteer registration fee of $25.  As always, space is limited, so register to volunteer now!

The Revolution Needs YOU

By joining the REVOLUTION, either as a rider, a festival-goer, or volunteer, you can proudly tell your friends that you are a partner of the Bay Area’s premier disability sports organization.  Even better, you will be empowering people with disabilities to live active, ability-focused lives. If all that isn’t enough, you’ll treasure a magical day of gorgeous cycling, excellent food, and great company.  As you enjoy the day with the athletes you're supporting, you will see what ability is all about!
