I am Kiran. I was born and lived in India for 28 years prior to living in the UK for 7 years. For the past 7 years, I have been living and working in the bay area. I have been blind since birth. I am currently working as a Principal Product Manager for Amazon Shopping and Books Accessibility. I have been involved in building accessible technology for people with disabilities for over 17 years. I currently live in Berkeley with my guide dog India and am very interested in outdoor sports and activities for blind and visually impaired people. I have used BORP facilities such as the adaptive cycling center. When I was living in the UK, I was an active member of the Berkshire County Blind Society (now referred to as Berkshire Blind) and was a member of their blind cricket team. I am also a board member at the American Foundation of the Blind (AFB) and I chair the AFB Programs Advisory Committee.
