BORP’s Annual Poker Fundraiser

Photo looking down on a red poker table surrounded by players.The Poker Fundraiser is a Texas Hold’em poker night benefiting BORP’s Power Soccer Program. Benefiting athletes with disabilities in the power wheelchair soccer program, this is a friendly no-limit poker fundraiser that will teach you how to play before you start and keep you having fun even if you get knocked out. New, inexperienced, and experienced players are welcome to participate.

BORP Hall of Fame and Awards Celebration

BORP Hall of Fame and Awards CelebrationEach June, we host an evening celebrating and honoring the achievements and contributions of the BORP community. The event highlights the personal stories of individuals and organizations who have made an impact on BORP and adaptive sports in the Bay Area.

The Revolution Ride & Festival

The BORP Revolution Ride & Festival brings people of all abilities together for a day of cycling and celebration to raise money BORP’s adaptive sports and recreational programs for people with physical disabilities and visual impairment. Set against the backdrop of the stunning wine country of Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley, the “REV” is one part cycle-a-thon, one part celebration, and one part inspiration.

Opening Day is BORP’s official “open house” for the community-at-large to check out BORP’s programs, ask questions, and play a few of the sports BORP offers. Opening Day also kicks off the new sports season for BORP.

Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program (BORP) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to improve the health, independence and social integration of people with physical disabilities through sports, fitness and recreation programs. At BORP, we believe that sports and recreation provide a path to greater achievement to which all people should have access, and we continually strive to make this a reality.
