Jr Road Warriors season starts with a bang in St. Louis

 Coach Trooper Johnson

The BORP Jr.Road Warriors started the season 4-0 at the Arch Madness wheelchair basketball tournament in St. Louis Missouri. The team posted big wins over teams from St. Louis, Louisville, and Wichita, and came back to beat the Pacers from Indianapolis.

The team has five players returning from last season, and four new faces. Adam Aydin, Amir Zaghi, and Gabe Magana are playing for the first time, and Cece Lovejoy has returned to the team after a few years in Europe.

Zach Nazareno led the team on the court and was named to the All-Tournament Team, and Braulio Noriega, Nate Anish, and Cece balanced out the scoring. Thomas Giovanola and Alpha Wong played incredible defense and worked tirelessly to get their teammates open.

This was a great start to the season and we look to build on the lessons we learned this weekend.

The team took advantage of the time before flying back to see the St. Louis Arch and get a few team photos before heading home.
