BORP Camping Trip August 17-18

Join BORP’s Adventures and Outings program in collaboration with East Bay Parks staff for an overnight tent-camping experience at the Gillespie campsite in Tilden Park in the Berkeley Hills. The camping trip will be on Saturday, August 17, and Sunday, August 18. In order to sign up, you must attend the mandatory pre-trip meeting on Saturday, July 20 at 2:30 PM at BORP Adaptive Cycling Center at 80 Bolivar Dr., Berkeley. Please note you must be vaccinated and boosted and Covid testing will most likely be required for this outing. The program fee for everyone is $25 per person. East Bay Parks and will provide meals, Tents (regular and accessible), sleeping bags, and a limited number of cots are available for people who need assistance with transfers. BORP will provide transportation from Ed Roberts, a limited number of accessible tents, and up to two airbeds*. Interested folks need to first let Lori know you’re interested in the camping trip, and then attend the mandatory pre-trip meeting for more details. Space is limited to a total of 30 people for the camping trip. Total fee: $25, a $10 deposit will be collected at the July 20th pre-trip meeting, with the balance due by August 15th. You will complete you registration at the July 20th Meeting. Hope to see you on the camping trip! *Anyone needing a bed you can buy air beds that are 18 or 22 inches off the ground for 70 and $100 online. Folks are encouraged to purchase their own if they’re able. we will have the ability to inflate air beds on site and some other electricity available.
