Trooper Johnson

Trooper has coordinated BORP’s youth sports program since 2008. He competed in four Paralympic Games as a member of the U.S. Men’s National Wheelchair Basketball Team. He has coached National Team programs since 2013, including as the Head Coach of the 2021 Women’s National Team that took the bronze medal in the Tokyo Paralympic Games. He coaches and coordinates wheelchair basketball clinics around the world. Trooper was inducted into the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) Hall of Fame in 2016. Among his many other achievements, he was the 2nd paraplegic to climb El Capitan in Yosemite Valley in 1998, and he repeated the climb in 2000.
