Limited Series : Seated Tai Chi for Blind and Visually Impaired

Starting June 6th 4:30 PDT
Instructor: Ralph Somack

Join Sifu Ralf Somack for this free, 12-week online class specifically designed for the blind and low vision community. This is a pilot program and participant feedback is important. This class will be taught seated.

Tai Chi is a set of slow, gentle exercises and a form of moving meditation practiced for relaxation, health, exercise, and self defense. In this program, we will practice various Qigong routines and learn the first 12 forms of the Sun style Tai Chi system. Sun Style is particularly well suited for people new to Tai Chi as it is easy to perform and it contains powerful Qigong influences that calm the mind and promote deep breathing. We will also explore the martial applications of some of the forms.

Classes range from 45 -60 minutes long and will meet every Thursday at 4:30 PDT for 12 weeks (no class July 4th). Thank you to NCHPAD for funding this program.
